With the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic, many doubts regarding
dentist emerged. Would dental treatment be safe during this period? Yea! The concern with Biosafety has always been important in our day-to-day. For the tranquility of our patients, we have prepared some changes in our procedures, following the guidelines of the Ministry of Health and the Federal Council of Dentistry.
1- We advise patients not to attend the office if they have symptoms such as fever, cough, shortness of breath or excessive tiredness. If you experience any of these symptoms, we advise you to seek medical care and suspend care until the symptoms disappear.
2- Measurement of the patient's temperature upon arrival to detect fever.
3- Use of alcohol-gel for all patients at the entrance.
4- Mandatory use of mask inside the office (with the exception of patients at the time of service).
5- Mandatory use of shoe covers for patients inside the office.
6- Greater spacing in scheduling for more time for decontamination of offices after consultations and so that the patient who arrives does not meet the next patient who will be treated in the sequence.
8- Optimization of EPIs (Individual Protection Equipment) of dentists and staff and procedures in patient care, avoiding cross-contamination protecting our patients, staff and family members.
9- Use of mouthwash with antiseptic solution by patients to reduce possible viral contamination in the patient's saliva that can occur even if the patient is asymptomatic.
10- Dentists and staff immunized by at least 4 doses of vaccine against Covid-19.
With the advance of vaccination, everyone is required to be vaccinated, we are doing our part and we ask everyone to seek immunization so that we can overcome this difficult phase and return to normalcy as soon as possible.
