Laser Therapy in Dentistry

Therapeutic laser is a light source of various wavelengths. It has anti-inflammatory, analgesic and biostimulant action. In general, therapeutic laser has a number of indications, and can be used alone or as an adjunct to other treatments.





Some applications and indications of therapeutic laser in dentistry:


Pain relief;

Tissue repair. Promotes faster tissue repair in case of traumatic injuries;

Application post-operative oral surgeries to reduce edema and pain;

Relief of dental hypersensitivity;

Lip herpes;

Canker sores and mucositis;

Alveolitis: infection or inflammation of the socket after tooth extraction;

Application after surgical or non-surgical periodontal treatment;

Relief of pain in the temporomandibular joint (TMJ).
